The People Living with HIV Stigma Index in Germany was conducted in 2011. „Positive Stimmen" („Positive Voices") is the German roll-out of the international PLHIV Stigma Index Initiative. Starting in October 2011. 1148 People living with HIV were interviewed on their experiences with stigmatisation and discrimination. The interviews were conducted by 40 especially trained people living with HIV from all over Germany. The following report summarizes main findings in the areas of socio demographics, social environment, experiences in health care, work and employment, sexuality, openness with HIV status, internalization of stigmatization, rights, laws & policies and effecting changes.
