Announcing the PLHIV Stigma Index Academy in Asia Pacific!

27 January 2022

GNP+, together with the International Community of Women Living with HIV (ICW), the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), and John Hopkins University (JHU), are initiating a virtual learning space for PLHIV community to build a movement towards a world free from HIV-related stigma and discrimination.

A fundamental aspect of the PLHIV Stigma Index is quality implementation, not only in terms of empirical research but also in the application of the GIPA principle. Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop the research capacity of PLHIV community leaders so that they can lead the technical support provided to country networks throughout the implementation process – from research protocol development, data collection, data analysis, report writing, to advocacy. The PLHIV Stigma Index Academy is a specific and targeted virtual course developed for this purpose.

The Academy is recruiting PLHIV community members in all their diversity to join our regional virtual short courses, taking place between November 2021 to June 2022. We are now recruiting participants for the second course, for community from Asia Pacific region. We encourage you to apply. Please take a look at the Terms of Reference for Academy participants.

We look forward to welcoming you into the Academy!
